Hi all!

I work for Jessops, stand and be counted with me as I wondered how many here also work for Jessops :gag: and also who I may know on here without knowing they are on here! :thinking:

Yes you do, your shop has many shiney new bits of gear I want :D Feel like a magpie in there lol

I feel broke... but I have all the shiny gear now.. but no so shiny when you take it out! Just that D3s to go and scuff up a bit and then I will have more than is in my Nikon cabinet! :eek:

haha yeah I can quite believe that! I'm working on getting more stuff, just need that money stuff :thumbsdown:

Well may I say you have a great camera! :thumbs: Just do what I do and not eat, I', Mr Skinny now for two reasons can't afford to eat and carrying the bag around! :shake:

+ its exe so there are an infinite number of shockingly attractive (well at least better than average) fish in the sea. Well not infinite but 3k a year would keep anyone busy

Out of interest, do you get good staff discounts on DSLR's if you work for them? Say a DSLR cost £335. As a staff, how much would you pay? Clearly not £335.
 
Hi mate, I've been considering a job in Jessops but need to clear £15,000 to keep the ship afloat :)
Is that possible as an in-store sales chap?

I don't work in Jessops but have always found there staff in the branches I have used to be exceedingly helpful.

They have price matched me on goods i have found cheaper elsewhere everytime, sometimes with very large reductions.
 
So, Jessops chaps, is there a secret TP handshake to take advantage of your discounts and insider knowledge on cheap gear??????
 
Must say, I don't know much about Jessops. There's a small branch about 20 miles away (nothing else within 50 miles, apart from the big box stores) and I've popped in a few times.

They seem to have quite a high staff turnover. Friendly, but a bit clueless, and I get the impression they're under pressure to sell whatever is in stock. I asked about the Panasonic TZ8/10 - which they didn't have - and was advised to buy the Canon SX 210 because the Panasonic "isn't a very good camera". OK, forget it. I also enquired about matt prints. Everything was fine until we got to placing the order, and I had to explain that lustre is not matt.

I don't really blame the staff. It's a management and training problem, and they're not the only culprits.

The Manger there is the worst! He uses that Nikon rubbish and has a D60! strumstrum, I'm sure I don't know you as this :lol: whom are you? Only so I can pass it on to that terrible manager at Leicester ;)

I just started doing wedding photography and my first job is in May 2012. I believe this camera is the best for the wedding photography. As you know the 5D MARK III is very expensive camera. I just can't afford pay £3000 all in one go because I don't have that much money. So i need a friend who works for the jessops to help me out here. It's always useful to have a friend work place like jessops. Same time you will have a friend who does the wedding photography. You might need me one day. I promise i will help you with your wedding photos :)

Not having £3,000 in one go will not be helped by having a friend in Jessops! I'd suggest you go down the route of interest free. This can be done with 20% deposit and then 10 monthly equal installments. :thumbs:

Joking aside, I actually did this once. Unwittingly held the door for someone nicking a bike from my branch of Halfords, many moons ago! D'oh! :bonk:
