Hey,

I've just started using Silver Efex Pro 2 with Lightroom and I was just wandering what steps you guys take to produce your final image..

I go, Lightroom basic editing => Silver Efex Pro 2 => Sharpner Output => Dfine and then I get my final image..

any tips?

I seem to recall Nik themselves suggest you Dfine first as SEP2 tends to pick up noise if you add a decent whack of contrast. I always forget and follow your workflow (except I sharpen and denoise back in Lightroom)

Yeah, I never understood the reason to why they suggest that, surely it makes more sense sharpening then de-noising the photo :S

One thing i've never really got grips with is Viveza 2, i've seen photos people have produced using that program but I just can't work with it, much prefer what Lightroom produces..

All the Nik programs seem to induce quite a bit of noise, at least the way I use them. I may be being heavy handed but skies often look terrible after SEP2 or CEP4. I think that's why they suggest de-noising first. Nothing to stop you de-noising after as well, I guess. I've never tried Viveza but agree that Lightroom seems to do all that stuff fine.
