Edit My Images
Yes
Hi,

I need a bit of a sanity check please!

I've just moved over to a macbook pro from my Dell Latitude and am getting myself set up.

On my old lappy I just really used Lightroom and never really any further editing in Photoshop.

Now I doing more work that requires a bit of Photoshop.

So he is the way I understand it works.

I edit the RAW in Lightroom and get them the best I can there, then I export them to Photoshop with the Lightroom adjustments in tact (as a tiff?) then do what I need to do.

Now this is where I get confused... how do I work it back into the set thats in Lightroom? or do you not?

Or... do you export all the images as you adjust them in Lightroom into Photoshop that way exporting the jpegs the same way?

Sorry if these are daft questions!

Gary

Import the RAW files into Lightroom, do all your sorting and flagging your keepers.

Do as much editing as you can in Lightroom, Export them into Photoshop making sure you export them with your Lightroom Adjustments.

Finish off in PhotoShop and then Hit SAVE, this will bring it back into lightroom with your originals and it will rename it to EDIT.PSD.

You can then at anytime export it back into lightroom with the adjustments you made inc layers etc
