Hi

I need some ideas on Christmas presents for work, I have 15 employees to buy presents for. I want to spend around £50 on each person and I am stuck on ideas. Ideally I want something to do with technology as we are a software company. Last year was a really good year and I got a good deal on Apple TVs, so it rules out Kindle TV, Chromecast etc.

Any ideas welcome as I am a bit stuck on ideas and don't want to get gift vouchers.

Personally I like non electrical things as so many things are electrical gadgets these days and I think getting something else is sooo much nicer. I especially things that wind up :D

Doesn't give you much to go on but maybe something technology related that doesn't plug in or need batteries might make a nice change? Some sort of technology related art?

One thing I'd like is one of those recreation ancient computers for working out the position of the stars and planets... don't know how much they are though :D

Can't you just get amazon vouchers and let them buy what they want?

Other than that some tidy earphones? Everyone these days seem to have them on yet most have cheap s***.

Bluetooth speakers for the kitchen?

Bluetooth speakers are good shout, you should be able to get some quality units for that price :)

Can I come work for you?

they may prefer the cash

and yep after you with the job application Tom

I'm thinking along the same lines as Tom and T. Whereabouts in the country are you and do you have any vacancies?

Doubt we'll even get a thank you let alone a gift.

I personally would prefer cash or vouchers over any thing electrical someone else bought for me.

Portable speakers are a good shout.

lol, they get a bonus, but that often goes on bills and the normal living stuff. This is from the company to them, I would like to buy something instead of voucher/cash as I think it means more. However finding a present is hard, so it may be a voucher.

Vouchers might be the best idea. I understand that you'd rather give everyone a personal gift, but wouldn't it be quite difficult to know what to choose, unless you know all these guys pretty well?

I worked in ikea when i was younger. We had a present every year. The general consensuses was gratitude that they bothered to buy gifts, but would have preferred a voucher.

You could opt for a gift with a gift receipt. That way you can be happy you've gone to the bother of choosing a gift but there is a option for them to return it if they prefer something else.

Going back to the Voucher idea..

A few years the company I worked for gave us Sainsbury vouchers.....they quickly became known as "Beer Tokens" :D

What about a DAB radio- most people always have space for another radio in the house/ shed/ office/ for hols

I worked at IKEA, I got a portable CD player, nice watch, wind up radio, binoculars and a Raleigh bike over my time there.

Loved the presents and a nice touch.

I'm heading towards an Amazon voucher at the moment

That would be my choice (as both gifter and giftee!) Hard to spend them on bills but easy to spend on pretty much anything else (including groceries if necessary.)
