So after a slight incident involving my washing machine and my work bag I now need a new one [emoji23]

Afsomething with laptop and iPad pocket.

Some where to store charger cables ,pens etc and room to carry food and few other bits thinking about 30 litres.

Went to go outdoors today but nothing took my fancy, mainly walking type bags.

Looking up to about £60 max

Any recommendations would be appreciated

Could have a look at some of the Vanguard camera backpacks, i have a VEO in black, it has a slot for laptop and then the central section for camera stuff and a seperate top section. Its a low key black backpack so doesnt scream camera bag

30l is a lot for a work backpack.......

A lot will depend on the size of your laptop. I have an Ogio Alpha Convoy for a 15 inch. It's a little outside your budget but offers do pop up (mine was 72 quid).

Fabulous build quality and (important for me) the laptop sleeve is waterproof. Smart enough for the City but tough enough for Kent :D It's classed as 25 - 28 litres and will easily take 15 inch laptop plus Macbook Air (annoyingly they won't both fit in the sleeve at once) tablet and all the other junk you need for a commute and day in an office. It even has Molle straps in case you need to carry a little more one day.

I use an Osprey quasar now for the last 2 years or so and it's great. https://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/159340...P_W5HzTSCR-rvy8-HyhoCBI0QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds £50 at Go outdoors, also use it for a bit of walking, trips etc etc. Very versatile. Padded sleeve at the back for macbook, then a slip pocket in front of that for ipad, another zipped pocket in front of that for bits then a big section for whatever you want ie lunch, waterproofe etc. Then the next completely seperate section also has room for your charging bits, keys, another zipped pocket (a5 size) and 3 little mesh pockets for keys etc. Then of course the 2 outside mesh pockets and the elasticated outside bungee thingy.

Karrimor Urban 30L, £18 - £23 off ebay. I have two, one for work and one for the gym. Had them at least 5 yrs and still going strong.

Or....2 grand of kit in a torrential downpour :)
Nothings got wet in either of my Karrimors yet. I will use one of the rucksacks for my camera when I go to watch motor racing.
Plus you can get a waterproof cover for less than £5.

Still use a 25 year old Karrimor as a carry-on bag if I'm not taking loads of camera kit. Only problem I've had with it was a zip getting sticky after it took a dunk in salt water. A rub with Doorease (basically thin candle wax) cured the zip after a wash in the machine. Not cheap when I bought it - the current equivalent is about 1/2 what it cost me!

Karrimor? LOL a bag for life would be better, they've gone right downhill since sports direct took them over and priced to the bottom of the market.
Like a lot of the brands that were good in their (pre sports direct) day....

Yep Karrimor were a premier brand back in the day.

There are many reasons to dislike Mike Ashley, but the one that annoys me most is htat he took many brands from my childhood and deliberately ruined them. Karrimor, Slazenger, Lonsdale etc. He buys the name, changes the product to lowest possible cost junk and sells it to people who remember when the brand was good.

But we've digressed a little :D

Still very happy with my Ogio - when I bought it runner up was a very similar roll top bag from Thule closely followed by something from Amazon Basics - they know what sells and gets good reviews and sell them cheap. This for example, Amazon Basics Canvas Backpack for Laptops up to 15-Inches ( 38 cm ) - Black: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

I would say my Karrimor Urbans are far better quality than that Amazon job. More padding on the shoulder straps and the back by the look of it. I can get my 15" laptop in my Karrimor but it is a tight fit for the height. I would be inclined to believe the laptop in the Amazon photos isn't 15". No idea what capacity that Amazon bag is, but I couldn't fit my lunch in that with anything else, definitely couldn't get my gym kit in it, not unless I expected to dry myself with a hand towel or flannel after my shower.
I buy most of my gym stuff from Sports Direct, no complaints on quality, I have some stuff that has got to be over 10yrs old. Slazenger T Shirts and Polo Shirts that I wear for gym and work, still in great condition and hold their shape. No complaints about the Slazenger sports socks neither.
Lonsdale and Everlast became commercialised rubbish long before Sport and Soccer (Sports Direct) came along.

I have Slazenger t-shirts from Sports Direct that I bough a very long time ago for £2 or £3. Still fine, wash well and haven't faded.

I won't go in there anymore as the rails are too close together. It's bad enough normally but just impossible in a wheelchair!
