Wordpress One Click Install hosting suppliers.

I have a friend who wants a basic wordpress site doing. He has asked me to help him get it up and ready.

Just wondered which hosting companies do the wordpress easy install option?

Carl, any hosting company that offers Cpanel access and Fantastico will probably do, I use Eukhost, I have a reseller account with them but using fantastico I can install a multitude of things with literally one click, Eukhost do simple webhosting as well, linky thingy

wordpress can be installed in about 10 seconds

Ive been using them for a few years and extremely happy with them

evohosting does it - i know that much because my site is hosted with them and i got a blog through them, dead easy to set up.

Absolutely - Plus fantastico isn't always up to date with the latest WP release (think it's still installing 3.0.3 and WP 3.1 is out now), or it might just be my host that's slow

Thats cool, I know it isn't much to get it sorted but wondered what companies do it. 123reg does and hostgator does, and you have given me some good suggestions which is always worth going off, so will probably end up pointing him there.

Don't host with 123 reg. The security and service they provide their users is pitiful, and they are both expensive and slow. You also don't get a proper cpanel.

I was so annoyed with 123-reg's poor hosting I took them to the small claims court last year (and won) to get my money back and for them to close my account

Even if you don't use a one click install, the 5 minute install that wordpress guide you through is stupidly easy. I'd be looking at speed, security and value of hosting over a one click install

Cheers for that Hugh, I'll mark them as one to avoid. I have emailed him this morning with a link to evohosting, as someone else mentioned that to me as being good. I'll warn him off 123reg

Another fan of TSO here. I've had a US host for the past 5 years but finally moved a UK this month and I am very happy with them up to yet, and I've got a reseller package with them, with around 8 sites running.

Yes their one click install is the old version but you can install the 3.1 update through wordpress itself, which means you can have it installed and updated within a few minutes.

nativespace is another with cpanel and fantasflbalfbnla (whetever) but I use them and installed my wordpress in a few seconds

Another vote for TSOHost.

I used tsohost for over 18 months and can voucher for them - I also use dreamhost which there are some good offers floating around - they do one click installs for most cms's and alot of other programs.
