Is there any kind of idiots guide to wordpress?

I have been trying with wordpress now for the last week or so, not everyday, more like couple of hours a week, I just can not seem to work it out its like :bang:

Just like that.....

All I want is a static front page and then a page link to a blog, where I can add some pictures... :thinking:

Creat two pages, call one 'HOME' and the other 'BLOG' - on the Home page, add whatever text and images you want.

Go to settings, bottom of dashboard left hand menu, then click 'reading' - in there you will find a setting for homepage, click'static' for homepage and select 'HOME', select 'BLOG" as your 'posts' page

Start adding new posts with your pics :thumbs:
