Hi everyone,

After taking some very good advice, I decided to have another go at my web presence...

I have a word press theme that works very well for what I need, however I really dont like the 'Tiled' effect of the main page. It is possible to change it to a more generic 1 column page, to make this change the website says:

This theme also comes with a more generic 1 column Blog layout. To activate it, simply delete or rename the home.php file.

I cant for the life of me figure out how to do this, I feel quite stupid since I'm usually pretty up at this sort of thing - what am I missing? :thinking:

I would appreciate any help available - thanks
 
try going to /yourbloglocation/wp-content/themes/themename and renaming the home.php in there.

Yes this is what I was trying to do, but couldn't seem to work out how to change the actual file name from inside WP - got that part sorted now cheers.

Next problem however is... it still doesn't look like its supposed to as far as I can tell. here's what it should look like:

Surely it should have one image on that page, linking to a separate page with other images + info?
 
Ah, never mind I cant be bothered to mess about with it anymore - just reverting it all back to how it came... making me FAR to angry :lol:
