Wordpress Help - not sure of correct settings

Hi,
I have a new project and website - http://www.thetimewarp.co.uk/

It is currently just an HTML site - but want to convert into Wordpress before I go any further.

How do I setup each of the posts/pages/categories so that (as with the HTML site) I can have a image of the map and can then click on this to be taken through to the page relating to thatplace - basically replicate the navigation of the HTML site.

Does this make sense?

I have wordpress up and running http://www.thetimewarp.co.uk/test but it looks nothing like my HTML theme just now!

You can easily map a link to those images on the front page in the Wordpress editor It looks the same as adding a link on this site. Just select the image, then click the button to create the link, it will even suggest links (I'm not sure if it lists pages, categories or posts).
