Hey all,

Got a REALLY annoying issue with the wordpress site I am building. It is using this theme - http://www.elegantthemes.com/demo/?theme=eStore - and the issue I am having is with the main (big) menu at the top. I have an menu item set to link to a category, as they have with their "Accessories" menu item, with child pages set from that menu item. With their sample site the parent item in the menu and the child pages in the drop down are all clickable, but with mine the parent item on the menu isn't....well, it is, but it only links to # to keep you on the same page.

Now when I google this problem all the results are the reverse issue. People not wanting the parent item to link. So I am guessing this is a change or something in a newish version of Wordpress, but I can't for the life if me work out how to stop it! When I remove the child pages then the parent links to its category fine, but as soon as I stick them reverts back to #

Anyone any ideas?

P.S Don't really wanna link to the site as trying to keep it hidden until complete as it is a re-working of a current site.

Have you used the correct menu widget type? If you use the wrong one it can be a right arse.

I'd also try using a different theme and seeing if the behaviour is the same. If so then it's probably a WP bug/quirk. If not then it could be a theme specific bug.

Without seeing the site and having an idea of its structure its tricky to say exactly what the issue is.

Sorted this, there was a hidden little option in the theme settings :)
