Wordpress Blog Grid Style advice?

Hi all, hope someone can help, Im redoing my website and want to have a blog and finally decided I want a grid style just for the blog page

Something similar to @SFTPhotography s website at http://www.sftphotography.co.uk/blog/ which has really inspired me.

I don't know whether or not this is a wordpress site and hence a wordpress plugin or not but have messaged him in the meantime.

However, is there anyone here that uses a similar grid layout or have any suggestions?

From viewing the webpage source code The photographer has used WordPress. The theme used is called Mercury and also uses a plugin called LayerSlider.
