Hello,

Im trying to create client galleries for my website. Have installed the NextGEN plugin and this gives the gallery options (http://carlomullen.com/clients/) but when i click on the gallery it allows me straight in, I would like this to be password protected.

So i create from the already created gallery, a page with password (http://carlomullen.com/sasha-2/) This gives me the second part of my requirement.

Now can any one advise how i can combine them both to get a gallery view which when clicked ask for a password?

Thank you

You will have to create a new page/post for each gallery and password protect the page, remembering to click on OK and then save

Yeah I have that done with the menu page link to sasha but what I do t get is how to point the album galleries to these pages

You place the gallery short code on the page/post and password protect the page/post

The gallery and page/post need to be as one

So....

Make new page/post

In content section paste in gallery code

Set password for page/post and hit OK

Save page

You should now have a password protected page/post with your gallery on it, no one will be able to view the gallery on that page/post without first inputting the password

Hi,

I think this should work. Create password protected pages, one for each client. These can be 'hidden' ie not on a menu. Each page will link to the appropriate nextgen gallery.

On the 'main' page for your clients, you just put up a thumbnail image eg with their name. You can then hyperlink this to their password protected page.

This way you could have a main client page full of thumbnails linking to their password protected pages?

Should be quite easy and quick to do??

Cheers,

Kenny
