Yes
Sorry, shameless self back-patting but......

I've just started working on the CAD side of our business and have rather been dropped in the deep end by our MD. He seems to have some sort of strange faith in me for some reason I can't fathom.

Anyway, I was sent out yesterday to my first proper business meeting to try and salvage a contract we were about to lose. Packing it the whole day before as I have never had to deal with people on this sort of level before, FFS, the guy used to be a director for Allianz Insurance.

Anyway, somehow I've managed to not only blag us into keeping the contract but have also pulled in an extra 150k of work which is massive for our business.

Signed, sealed and delivered.

I'm feeling rather pleased with myself.

Now all we have o work out is how the hell we're going to find the time, manpower and systems to fulfill our contract.

Oh well, that's a worry for Monday.

well done you
bet you feeling well chuffed!

Yep.

It's gonna be nightmare though.

We have to supply 700 floorplans and commercial energy certificates before mid-november.

About 3,00 hours of work i reckon.

time to get some contract CAD peeps on board

You lost me at 'CAD'.....

Well done! sounds like you should be very pleased with yourself!

Well done. I hope there's a nice big paypacket for you for all your hard work ;)

Lol,

I should be so lucky chez.

I'm doing it for the love(ish) at the moment. The company has really looked after me for the last 3 years and helped out in any way possible, so I'm only to happy to be able to put something back into it.

We already send the sketches to our team of operatives in Sri Lanka, who process them very quickly, so they only need checking at our end.

C.A.D = Compute Aided Design = Drawing with boxes and lines and circles and arcs to create a 2d floor plan of a building

Seems the MD's trust in you was well placed then

Well done on securing the contract :)

Well done.

Don't forget to remind the boss if it all comes good and put your hand out for a bonus :)

Oh and remind him it was his idea to send you if it all goes pear shaped and you let the customer down ;)

Oh well, that's a worry for Monday.

Soon comes doesn't it.

Nice work there sir. :clap::clap:

Don't forget for too long though that you are a snapper.

Don't forget to call this snapper if you need to farm out a little site sketching either.

So, Ghandi, descended into full-blown panic or coping?
