That's a great shot for active - really takes you along with it at high speed! Sign is a great find and the crop is perfect - it definitely asks a few questions. Flora works well with that little peep of purple amongst the green...at least this summer rain adds some interest to flower shots!

Active works for me, Matt. Love the perspective and motion blur. My OCD wants the bike frame dead centre, but that'll be due to the mount I'm sure and is really just me being super fussy! Good idea.

What a great photo for Active, although the sky is pushing the overexposed boundaries, a perfect drop with the road coming in from the corners, a super sense of movement from the hedgerows and tree canopy, and the bike not too still as to appear stationary, very nice :thumbs:

Thanks Carl - it's a bit pot-luck when it comes to this old GoPro as I've no way of checking the shot until I pop the SDcard back in my computer afterwards. Thankfully the bike is sharp with a blurred bg - but the mount is a bit off centre (as Ian mentions below!), doh!

Thanks DK! I agree, the GoPro is showing it's age a bit I think with the overexposed highlights! Glad you like it though! :)

Have taken shots for Life & Hidden but not had the time to post...stay tuned. Will hopefully have time to catch up with everyone else too! :thumbs:
 
Finally had time this evening to upload 'Life'

28/52 - (Race for) Life (Chester) by Matt, on Flickr

So why Life? Well, it was Chester's 'Race for Life' 5K run last weekend - such a gorgeous day too, so I grabbed the camera and went to scope out a few vantage points. I quite liked this top-down view and managed to get lucky timing wise just as this runner was passing. Have to say the turn out was brilliant - such a good cause, well done ladies!
 
I really like it, Matt. B&W conversion, isolation of the runner, texture of the path and the shadow cast by her all add to it [emoji106]

Life: I like your choice of b&w and the strong contrast that powerful shadow.
Hidden: The light falling on the foliage and onto the contours of the metalwork is beautiful. Excellent choice and exposure.

That lamp is certainly trying to hide, your well controlled shot retains very good details

Hi Matt - Now that is a cracking image for Life, I love the thought put into the crop with the double lines coming in from the base and the brick weave crossing just touching on both sides of the frame, It sure looks like you were clocked tasking the pic, but this along with the perfect shadow make the image for me, love it :clap:

Hidden - That sure is, not much light getting out of there !!!

Life ... nice composition and the shadow works well. You found a good vantage point there.

Hidden ... yep that works too ... a pleasing image.

Life: The B&W suits this really well, the shadow and did she spot you ?

Hidden: Just enough of the lamp showing through, the lighting glow spot on

Hidden works well too, very well exposed!

Excellent shot for Life love the fact the runner is looking in your direction love the B&W conversion.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to comment on my thread - am really struggling at the moment to find the time to take / post / comment on photos these past few weeks.

Hi Chris - no I don't think she was looking at me, she was looking up the street and underneath the bridge I was stood on. At least I hope that's the case! :P Glad you like them Chris!
