Anyone read it?
Mine came from Amazon the other day and Im waiting for the right frame of mind before I read it.

I've lost my mojo, inspiration lately and since day one I have struggled with my photographic 'eye' and vision, so I'm hoping this will help me.

Anyone else read it?

Hi Marcel,

I haven't read this but will look out for it as it sounds interesting as I'm sure every journey of a photographer's development is a personal one. A mojo is pretty hard to find and then keep and sometimes your head thinks a new lens or a piece of equipment will provide the answer. This rarely (if ever) proves to be the case and most people come to realise that the heart knows this.

I've had a struggle too, partly due to a change in job and location. I've just received a book for my birthday which I'm starting to read this weekend by David Noton titled 'Waiting for the light'. I'm driven more by looking at other people's shots and the vision and patience they have to get the right shot (for landscapes).

A line very early on in the Noton book is very noteworthy, "learning the difference between taking a photograph and making a photograph." To that end, I've booked myself on a day course with Charlie Waite during October in Dorset with the hope that he can re-kindle my mojo.

Good luck with finding yours again.

Jas

Hi Jas

That's certainly a good line to adhere to, make a photograph instead of taking one. I'll try and note that one.....

Hope you enjoy the Charlie Waite day. I've not really been interested in landscapes for a while. I used to...they just don't give me the 'oomph' that they used to. Maybe it's all tied in with the lack of inspiration.

Hope you find you Mojo again!
