wish you had to camera to hand?

So your doing something and you suddenly wish you had your camera to hand...

Driving down the road today we overtook a green woodpecker! It was just flying down the road would have made a great photo. Also about 2-3 weeks ago watched 2 male pheasants have a fight with 3 females watching. Trouble is no matter how much you want it you can't keep your camera to your eye 24-7 lol.

I know that feeling

I see my dog running around in the garden and because he had been drinking water before all the water was flicking out of his mouth and would have made a great photo. I think he heard another dog come down the alley

How true. But if you can't lug your main gear around with you all the time, at least keep a compact to hand! You can get quite impressive results from something small enough to slip into a pocket or bag.

I find a camera phone captures a few of those " kiddy/pets" moments, but there has been some occasions where I wish I had my camera. They nearly always happen when I am rushing to get to work because i'm late!!
