9:15 am, 19th June 2009 - Film Studies A2 - Shocking Cinema, Gendered Cinema and Censorship

I've had 2 exams now, general studies and media studies AS. neither of those ones really count for anything.

but this is the big one.

I've got an unconditional offer for uni so this grade will simply be for future life, potential jobs and self-satisfaction :)

Good luck, Sean.....but shouldn't you really be studying, or at the very least watching Natural Born Killers ?
 
Aye, good luck mate, had my GCSE Films Studies exam today. Disaster movies... one of the questions was absoluley perfect for me.

Design and create and label an original homepage to market and sell your movie:D

Got two offspring graduating this year, one in Nucleur Physics, the other in Phsycology (spelling !!) and history.

I sat them down prior to the exams and got them to watch the karate kid, I love the bit where he lifts his leg and looks like a bird just before he kicks hell out of his opponent.

What he is doing is emptying his mind of all thoughts to allow his sub conscience to take over, its how hypnosis works.

If you have not done the work over the past couple of years you will flunk, if you have now is the time to relax and allow yourself to pass.

Hope you are rewarded well

It's okay, finished now :)

Censorship question was an okay question however I don't think I did too well for it.
Shocking cinema was PERFECT = compare films and how shocks vary - excellent! :D
Gendered cinema, however, was a complete BIATCH. really difficult.

And as far as my surprise as to Flash in the pan's comment about natural born killers, NBK was one of the case study films for censorship! :eek:
 
Another one coming in late to wish you luck; but I am sure you didn't need luck .. seeing how committed you've been to other aspects here :)
