I have been looking for a good inexpensive wireless shutter release for my Canon 40D. I have noticed these Yongnuo V2s on eBay but have not found much information about them.

Anybody currently using one?

i have a cordless remote shutter release for my Nikon, cost about £5 +p/p. It has a range of 30/40 ft.

Not one of my best but to give you some idea. It was taken while I was over 30ft away sitting in my warm office. the camera was about 5/10 ft away

Think the one for your camera would be about £10 ($15) +p/p.

something like this one I have, but this link is for your make of camera

Don't get one with a range of hundreds of feet, someone may steal your camera at that distance unless you are in the middle of a wilderness. Ok obviously it can be used at a shorter range, just trying to save you a few bucks.

That link you posted, the remote only works on certain cameras, and if I am not mistaken you may have to be infront of the camera for it to work. I had something similar for my D70s. A wireless remote needs a transmitter and a receiver to enable a photographer to take photos from behind the camera.
