Hi Guys i need some help again

About 2 years ago I bought 3 Solwise home plugs to get the internet around my home and into the wing for the mother and father and law.

These have worked excellent so far and now the mother in law got an Ipad for xmas she wants to be able to down load and use the internet wireless, so i bought a wireless Solwise home plug.

Now this is where I am getting confused, as I only bought one I thought that it being plugged into the wall it would just then transmit the signal wireless as well, but it does not seem to be doing this and according to quick set up guide it is going on about once you have paired them meaning 2 etc etc it will work.

So do i need two of theses wireless plugs for them to work or am I getting confused somewhere along the line????

Thanks

spike

You will have to pair the new wireless plug with the 3 you have around the house - the pairing is with the circuit connected via the home wiring. How to do this will be in the manual somewhere....

Thanks for that.

the ones I have around the house are not wireless ones

Yes, so you pair the wireless one with the wired ones and then you have a wireless access point you can attach a wireless device to just like it would attach to a wireless router

ah right ok I will give that try thanks very much I will let you know if it works or not.

Ok had to buy another wireless home plug of the same make to get it to pair up as it would not work no matter what I tried with the original home plug that was not wireless.

Plugged it in paired it up and woohoo full strength wifi in the wing of the house.

Will be getting another for upstairs as although we have wifi up there from the signal from the router it could be better.
