Wireless flash

Hey Guys,
Im have just brought a flash cord so I can use off camera flash but I am looking at making it wireless as soon as possible

My question is.... is there any product cheaper then the ST-E2 that would work to make my 580exII wireless from my 40d.

Maybe a chinease rip off or something like that.

I just cant afford £100+ atm for the canon version.

Why do members always think transceivers when they talk about off camera flash. The simplest is optical flash pulses.

Because radio does it better. Most of the time. Plus, the poverty wizards in whatever form you buy them, are a super cheap way to get a taste for it.

CTR-301's if you want cheap AND reliable Newer Cactus V4's are having teething troubles still for some people.
