Wireless flash triggers

A little while ago I bought a set of cheapo wireless flash triggers from flea bay - 1xtransmitter and 2xreceivers.

This was partly because I have an older flash that I didn't trust sitting on top of my camera due to trigger voltage concerns, and also because I occasionally use a set of home studio lights, and it's a lot easier to work without trailing a sync cable all over the place.

Recently the triggers have become intermittent to fire - this may be because I they are cheapo, or it could be because I dropped the transmitter a while ago, whereupon it fell apart. :(

What this is all boiling down to is can anyone recommend a reliable set of wireless flash triggers please?

Doesn't Flash in the Pan (look in forum advertisers) do a set of wireless triggers. Not used them but had one of his flashes and that works a treat.

Yongnuo CTR-301p are cheap & reliable. the place i got mine from said the sync speed was 1/200 but max sync speed for the D90 is only 1/125 so may be worth checking but they have never let me down for firing.

Graham (Flash in the pan) does do a couple of different sets of radio triggers BUT you DO need to look at voltages. I blew a pair of receivers up by attaching them to a cheapo flash that was chucking out 237volts and Graham has now added a warning on his thread. They are only designed for low voltage like that that newer digital era flashes produce. To be safe you need a device between the flash and trigger/camera to protect it but they cost more than a pair of triggers.
