Wireless Flash remote

It looks like the Cactus model but it doesn't have the Cactus branding. I've heard that some of these look a likes have given problems in the past, but I can't confirm this. I have a couple of Cactus V2s models that I use to trigger flashes which are not in normal line of site with the master unit. They work OK. Get the odd spasmodic flash, but for the price can't complain. Mine came from HK took 4 days by normal post cost about £20 after $/£ conversion

Mine work fine on 430 and 580 flash guns. I would say that the hot shoe locking to the reciever is a bit pants, not robust enough to hold the flash in place. So I trigger via a hot shoe with a PC lead.

Looks like a cactus to me. I've got one, it's a bit temperamental - fires flash randomly every now and again but changing channels helped. Sometimes it doesn't fire the flash and the range isn't great but then it only cost me £30 for one transmitter and two receivers from hong-kong. Generally pretty good to learn on but I wouldn't want to rely on them on an important shoot.

I'm doing some mods on mine tomorrow. Assuming I don't fry the things I'll let you know how they improve things.

looks like the version one cactus trigger. V2s aren't perfect but are more reliable apparently. Have a look on the gadget infinity website and they tell you which triggers work best with which flashes as there's quite a few different models.
