After a wired shutter release (lockable one so i can use the bulb function for really long exposures) for my nikon D3....the ones i've found are £50 plus; is there a cheaper alternative? Seems incredibly steep considering the wireless ones fetch a few quid on ebay...look forward to hearing peoples response!

Use your tablet or smartphone if you have one.

Yup I paid £78 from Fixations for mine....so they are not cheap.

Is the Flash Centre still in existence? maybe they have something.

I use one of these, just over £2 and works perfectly - it's just a switch at the end of the day:

Ordered! Seriously....how do nikon justify 50+ quid for effectively the same product?

I stand to be corrected if the 2 products do different things

dont get that get the one in my link its an intervelomer as well so good for timelapse and star trails which you probably want to do at some point, there only £10 so youll want one any way

My Hama one (sourced from either Amazon or 7dayshop) does what the OP asks for - make sure you get the one with the 10 pin connection. Sorry, model # not on the item and the packaging is long since recycled!
