Guys,

Has anyone else noticed that one of the images submitted is actually a windows vista backdrop?

The tags are: Tree(s) + Nature
Tog : Shaun Reed
Title : Forest

The image comes with Windows Vista, I checked the copyright in windows and its under a different guys name!

I havent reported it...... yet!

What do you guys think?

If anyone finds a link to report it, I think a few of us should. Copyright theft is not on, at all.

I just sent Darrel an email to make him aware of it. Though I have a suspicion he may already be aware of it, surely Bom you weren't the first to see it? :lol:
 
I have no idea to be honest, but its still there!

I wonder how he will feel about it, how would you guys feel if someone submitted your work in this way?

Probably just some 10yr old having a laugh :lol:
 
what a moron. well, I hope canon actually remove this joker's entry soon enough, but rather odd they didn't actually spot it so obviously at the time it was authorised...
 
I used to enter the My Fuji monthly comps but time and time again someone would submit images that either didn't fit the theme (at all) or were pinched from the internet.

One month one of these plagiarized pic's got 3rd place !!

I hope enough people let canon know.

I notice the image has come from Getty images.. Hmmm those boys play tough when their copyright is abused.. Could get interesting
 
Canon got till 5th May to pull it of site as voting starts then :lol::lol:
 
Got a reply from Darrel, he thanked me and said he would look into it ... someone is going to be in trouble :D
 
:thumbs: I'd already reported it to Canon at about 2pm yesterday, its still there though!
