Hi all,

have over the last week moved over to a mac and would like to install the disc i purchased for windows version photoshop cs6 extended.
I am sure there is a way to do this, anyone done it or know how? appreciate any help on this.

You can use your adobe ID to download the mac version of photoshop. & then use the key code you got with your CS6.

I may be wrong but I understand that Windows keys won't work with the Mac version, and vice versa.

You will need to load something like VMWare Fusion and load it on a virtual Windows machine, or use Bootcamp and have a dual boot system.

If it's on disc and you bought it as a boxed product, you need to exchange your Windows licence for a Mac one, as the licences are platform specific

Adobe Creative Cloud and VLA licences are cross-platform

Edit: Reading that in detail, as you have CS6 it looks like you may not be able exchange licences (not applicable for 'previous versions'.

Might be worth asking Adobe as CS6 was and still is the last boxed version available. VM or CC may be your only options, though.

If you have to go down the virtual route VirtualBox is free and there is a new version just out.

Thanks for the reply's, I think a call to adobe is necessary to sort it out but will give some of your points to them.

Many thanks
