Does anyone know for sure if adobe cs5 extended and lightroom 4 work on windows 8 platform?

Not really for either answers as I intend to buy a windows 8 laptop, uninstall both apps of my old laptop and install them on my new one, hopefully with no issues.....

LR4 does, you can try it yourself on a trial from the adobe website

I already own it on a windows 7 laptop, just wanted to make sure they are compatible with windows 8 first, before I buy one.

I've just had to upgrade my laptop to a Win8 version and I have installed creative suite CS3 with no problems, so I would imagine that later versions wouldn't be a problem

Superb news thanks

How do you find windows 8? Seems to be mixed reviews at present

Annoying at first, but once I'd worked out some of the shortcut keys it has been fine as I hardly use the start screen. The only thing that really bugs me is the zoom feature which is far to sensitive and when you are looking at online map zooms the browser rather than the map you are looking at

Start screen is a little jarring at first, but once you adapt to it and embrace it rather than being scared it actually works really well.

Other than some UI quirks, it's better than Windows 7 in pretty much every way. The new Explorer is the best file manager implementation I've used since Norton Commander :)

How touch screen friendly is CS6? I've just been given a copy of it (genuine) and have installed it on my desktop machine and am wondering whether to do so on my new Win8 touchscreen notebook. TBH, it really is a sledgehammer to crack a nut for me but since it was free, I couldn't really say no! Again, TBH, the app I've got at the moment will do all I'll want while on my travels!
