Yes
I'm just about to replace my 10 year old PC with one that uses Windows 8.

Does anybody know if Windows 8 is compatible with CS2 which is what I'm using just now?

As always, thanks for any information.

Many thanks, all, I appreciate your comments which confirm what I thought. I don't think I could justify the cost of CS6 as well as upgrading the PC, particularly to SWMBO!

I suppose one option would be PS Elements 10 or is it 11, which probably has most of what I use on CS2.

Thanks again,

Ernie

Sometimes "incompatible" programs requires you to run the setup program in administrator mode... just right-click the setup program and select "Run as admin"...

Edit\...

Have done a little research now... :D

Apparently all you need, is to give CS2/3 the DOS name of the install path: http://planetmediocrity.com/2013/01/installing-photoshop-cs2-on-windows-7-64-bit/

Confirmed on Microsoft Communitive: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...hotoshop/6f1b4955-7166-4b8f-ad9b-5d19150f803f

As usual, do not rely on anything Adobe is advicing you to do.

Can you not run CS2 on Windows 8 via Microsoft's Virtual PC (XP Mode) or VirtualBox??
