Windows 7 Update Affects Nik Plugins - "Missing .dll file"

A recent Win7 Update has affected some users Photoshop/Nik Software Plugins, reporting a missing .dll file (happened to me this morning).
The workaround is to re-install the Nik software and problem is solved.

Couldn't see it posted anywhere else - may help someone.

I don't think it's the Windows update which caused the problem (I'm using Vista), but an update to the Nik software.

This didn't work for me.

Reinstalling did, but only when I re-downloaded, as per the guidance from Nik Software.

(I used the trial, which fixed the problem with the full version I have)
