My mates daughter has a laptop running Windows 7 but she cant get the screensavers to show. I looked and found the pic she wanted and the option was there to save as the desktop screensaver but when i hit that option the screensaver doesnt load even though the option shows i hit to save it as a screensaver. Any ideas if its a windows 7 issue or something else?

You just mentioned the word "pic" in a question about screensavers. So first you need to clarify what exactly your problem is. Screensavers [.scr] or desktop backgrounds [.jpg].

If its the bog standard cheapest version of Windows 7 then you can't save pics as backgrounds, my wife has a Packard Bell netbook and the version of windows on that won't let you.

I like the functionality of the windows 7 for the screen saver. And the pictures from these screen saver are really good you can change it very fastly,And your screensaver can automatically changed also.

Digressing a little while waiting for the OP to return and clarify........for those with W7 Starter edition, this free prog works well for changing backgrounds [or wallpapers, as some people call them]

Either one off changes, or automatically at set intervals from a selection. It might even work with other windows versions.

Thanks for that, a wee bit of a pain to get it to find pics, eventually saved one to desktop, but it does what it says on the tin!

Suggest you have a wee go Marky.

Ok, im not sure what edition it is, all i know is that its a Dell netbook,i never noticed what edition it was. The pics are .jpg and the option is there to set as a desktop background but it just doesnt apply.

So it's a background/wallpaper - not screensaver. And it could be a starter edition, with it being a netbook. So you'll need a third party prog like the one I've linked above.

You're welcome. Although I don't remember having any difficulty with finding the pictures. But it was over a year ago since I installed it so who knows.
