windows 11 headphones

how do I set up my new Asus laptop to enable to use headphones, with my old one I just plugged them in.

What ports does it have? If there's no headphone socket you can buy a small dongle to plus in that will let you plug in your headphones.

FWIW with my W11 laptop I can just plug in (or use bluetooth wireless headphones). It's the maker who determines sockets, not Microsoft.
