Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3081455) and Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3081449)

Is anyone else having problems getting these two updates to install?

Every few days since I installed W10 three weeks ago I get my desktop asking to restart to install these then once it's gone through the process it says that they failed to install so it's now deleting the update. Next day I have to go through it all again.

I've Googled the problem and tried the registry hacks. Been on Microsoft support and they know there's a problem but never give a clear cure for the problem. I've downloaded both updates as standalone files but with the same result.

Has anyone that has had this problem actually cracked it?

For those that take pleasure in it please don't say that W10 is rubbish and I can roll back to W7 or to buy a Mac. I just want this problem solved. Thanks.
 
Suggest you hide them for a few weeks.

I don't see that option. Just get auto update or notify (the one I use) or to get update from another source
 
Maybe Win 10 is different, you can go into Win7 windows update and hide any updates you don't fancy.
 
what does the event log say at the point of failure of the updates?

Just run it again and I get this in the event viewer in the Windows Update Client section:

Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80070011: Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3081449).

Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80070011: Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3081455).

In the Device Set Up Manager:

Metadata staging failed, result={00000000-0000-0000-FFFF-FFFFFFFFFFFF} for container '0x80070490'

In the Kernel Event section I have around ten errors with: error: 0xC0000035
