Yes
My very old PC that I cleaned recently and done a fresh Windows 7 install, was running great for a little while. But the Windows 10 icon appeared in the Taskbar, and started to pop up all the time, I thought I would give it another go and try it out. But after installing Windows 10 last night my video clips are playing very jittery, and freeze etc. Strange thing is, I can view video on youtube and they play OK

Graphics now look very bad..

I did install the free Windows 10 upgrade a little while ago, and I had the same problem. Looks like another Windows 7 roll back.

Its a driver issue, not an OS one. Update your drivers.
I did look for any driver issues, and the status says there are no drivers to update. But will have another look :)

But my PC is a very old one, so there may be no drivers to run with Windows 10.

What did the compatibility report say? Or did you not read it before installing Windows 10.

The report said Windows 10 was compatible with my machine.

But I have just looked on the HP Support for drivers..

After running my machine through their compatibility test, I get the message.
HP does not provide Windows 10 drivers on HP.com for HP computers sold prior to August 2013

My machine is way way before that, I will just roll back to Windows 7 again.

What is your video card? HP didn't make it so you can likely get the drivers from manufacturers website.

Well that was a nice quick roll back, I am now back on Windows 7. I am using a very old PC, I will be lucky if I get another six month out of it. I will then deffo get a new one. Windows 10 wont be an issue then :)

What video player is it? VLC works on anything for me.

I have an ancient Computer, it is on it's last legs anyway. Running OK on Windows 7 now. I will get a few more pennies together and start looking for another PC. Just the stupid Windows 10 keeps popping up, because I cleaned my computer, just a case of ignoring it now :)

Could've just been a codec issue, something like vlc would've done the trick
It was not only video issues, but graphics were all messed up. Anyway I have rolled back to 7 and all is fine. I don't think my ancient PC can handle Windows 10.

Windows 10 had 17 mln the first week. More like 10 than are afraid of change.

Perhaps they also find, as do a number of people in this forum, and even on this thread, that Windows 10 messes up their PCs.

And if it's so good why is Microsoft adopting all the sneaky tactics that they are to force people to change?

And not many people have heard of Never10 yet but as the word has spread so have the numbers of people using it.

Were you forced? I wasn't. I put 10 on my laptop because it had 8.1 and anything is better than that. I still have 7 on my other 6 desktops and will buy 10 when I am ready to. Mostly for dx12.
I don't know anyone who was forced, but if they are they should contact the police.

There were 200 mln people running 10 in Jan. and more now. I doubt any were forced since you have 31 days to roll back if you want to.

As for an OS messing up a computer, that's just nonsense. Using incomparable drivers will mess up any OS. Using Linux drivers in Windows 7 will mess it up as bad or worse than using Windows 7 drivers in Win.10.

Graphics look awful when I installed Windows 10 and the videos would not play, as I have already mentioned my PC is very old. So there is a good chance there are not gong to be any drivers for my old stuff. Can't expect manufacturers to make new drivers that will make very old stuff run on Windows 10. I will simply let my old PC see the last of it's days out running on Windows 7.

Still strange as without drivers it should show the standard compliant resolutions just fine. I mean without drivers and just standard vga resolution it still doesn't mess up graphics.

No idea what is going on, but I am back on Windows 7 and all is well. Will get another PC pretty soon, and it will come with Windows 10. I will embrace 10 then :), but can't be bothered faffing about trying to get my current PC to run 10.

I do apologise for not answering your question correctly :)
I don't think it was anything like that. I am also interested by what you actually meant. Just a genuine interest.

The Video played very jittery and laggy, and generally could not be played.
