Window 7 password problem - Help!

Cheers for all the ideas guys. Unfortunately nothing seems to have worked. I think there must be an issue with the actual keyboard not recognising correctly or something.
I'm going to return it to Comet and see how I get on, although I'm sure I'll have a fight on my hands.:thumbs:
 
Shouldn't be a fight. It isn't of satisfactory quality. Demand replacement. Any crap, demand a full refund. Latter is better as then you can go and buy something from a shop with decent standards of customer care!

I finally gave up and took the laptop back to Comet. After a bit of a "discussion" with the manager, they took the machine back and gave me a full refund, so all worked out well in the end.:thumbs:

I am always amazed how much help everyone is willing to give on TP. Thanks to everyone for all the ideas and links. I'll be saving all these pages for future. :thumbs:
