I've just installed the free Win10 "upgrade" (at the last possible moment...) and have been trying it out. So far, I've been surprised that all my common programs still run. I've even managed to configure parts of it to look more like I'm used to. BUT

Today I connected a Sony a7rii via USB cable to the computer to download photos. The interesting thing about this camera to me is that if I take out the card and connect it via a card reader, I get one big directory of all jpgs and raw files, and another with video files (plus a few that don't have anything useful in them). On the other hand, if I connect the camera to the compuer, I get a directory structure with the date as the name and all files from that date in it. I can then just copy the lot across and have them arranged by date. Or I could. That's how it worked with Win7. Under Win10 the a7rii works like a rather expensive card reader and doesn't separate the files.

Is there any way of making Win10 work like Win7 in this respect - I assume it's a Win10 feature.

Apologies if this has been answered before - I made a search without picking anything up.

As it stands, I may have to revert to Win7 (I have the original boot drive plus a clone intact; Win10 went onto a second clone as I tend to be cautious/paranoid) which is simple.

Problem solved - by logic. Changed camera setting on a7rii for USB connection and status quo restored.
