Yes
Anyone following it this year? I don't get to watch much tennis but I do try to watch as much of Wimbledon as I can.

An interesting 1st day and it looks like Murray is going to be overshadowed in the media tonight with Nadal going out in the 1st round in straight sets. The knee injury has mad him a shadow of his former self though so not a total surprise.

Good win for Murray though, always good to get an easy win under your belt in the 1st round. Predicting a Djokovic v Murray final although Federer shoed today that he hasn't gone away.

We might watch a few matches, but we don't have television and it largely depends on my sister in law. Conversely, she and the rest of her family are fervent and vocal SNP supporters, and that's a high price to pay for the privilege!

or watch it on the iPlayer on the bbc website :)

Yep, will be following it all!

Went yesterday with tickets for no 1 court and saw Darcis take out Rafa.

Bit of a shock!

Will generally be glued to the web, TV and apps for the next two weeks although we've also got tickets for men's QFs next Wednesday.

It will only be on three tvs in our house at any one time. And only two of us live here.

I correctly predicted Rafa's match - that it would end in straight sets :)

Only been drawn to tennis by the odd character since enjoying McEnroe's antics as a kid, but I have followed Andy Murray's progress over the years.

Wow. First Rafa, now Roger. Dunno who will be still left into next week, might be Murray's big chance...

I think if Murray wins he'll be crucified by the media because of who has fallen in the early stages.

On another note, I was listening to the tennis on way home from work, WTF's with the noises coming from the women ,man that does my head in, turn it off in the end.

if Murray wins, it will be due to early losses and retirements of several... how many today?

I can't bear watching tennis. Bit like like watching paint dry. But have fun all you who enjoy it.

Missed Bargain Hunt today because of the bloody tennis.

I saw some of the highlights of the sharapova game. WHat a joke, like hearing two pigs in a pen!!! Why cant the authorities simply ban players for making stupid excessive noise? Also find it crazy that they get same prize money yet play less!

Had both those discussions last night with Mrs S. Want the same prize money, play 5 sets!

And as for the grunting / squealing.....

Seven retirements.
And if Murray wins you can say that early losses may have been a contributing factor, but frankly it's insulting to say that's the only way he'd win. You may not like him, but there's no way in the world you can deny he's good. US open, anyone? :shake:

Djokovic is still in, don't start betting on Murray yet.

No no....just sick of hearing people obnoxiously whining on about how they can't stand him or that he somehow doesn't deserve any success he gets.

Can imagine that being annoying.

Come on Andy! Good old British lad!

Why does it matter if top players like Nadal and Federer go out early or in the later stages?

It's a knock out competition so if he wins it it's because he's beaten everybody he plays.

There hasn't been any really vital male retirements. If Djokovic, Federer and Nadal had all slipped and injured themselves leading to retirement then the point would be a little more valid but the fact is they lost so they weren't good enough this year.

The winner will deserve it, whoever they are.

Anyone know why there's no commentary on bbc iplayer

Now Serena out, what a strange championships this year.

Blimey, Andy likes to put us through it doesn't he!

"Enjoyed" the 5 set thriller on centre yesterday after I thought Del Portro might have been retiring after only 3 games yet went on to beat Ferrer.

Here's a snap from yesterday:

That interruption was a disgrace, sportsmanship at it worst in my opinion

Ah well, Jerzy might have a future, but has a bit of growing up to do yet; totally lost the plot I thought.
C'mon Andy!

Can't believe I've been watching tennis for almost nine hours, best men's semi's day for years.

3-1 doj

I'm very pleased for Mr Murray even though tennis doesn't interest me at all. What I do find surprising is that NO ONE on my Facebook has mentioned the outstanding British success in today's stage of Le Tour de France.

The BBC has apologised after commentator John Inverdale said Wimbledon champion Marion Bartoli was "never going to be a looker".
Inverdale's comments on Radio 5 live as the French player prepared to face Germany's Sabine Lisicki provoked anger from many listeners.

I actually thought she went out in the quarters having caught the last few games of that match. She has a few odd habits apparently.

Just a blip..... c'mon Andy!!!!!

I'm think Andrew castle has jinxed Andy by his comments!!!! Silly man

Wow!
