Wimberley Gimbal I

I have just taken delivery of a Wimberley head and tripod, however...

I think that the main bearing in the mount has worn out - with no load on the head, it 'drags' when moving it around.

I presume that this is not correct and needs replacement.

Can anyone confirm how a Wimberley gimbal head is meant to feel with no load?

I have the Wmberley 2 and it is smooth in all directions (mine is quite old).

Send an E Mail (with serial number) to Wimberley. I had a couple of queries and they were very helpful - also they don't seem to want to charge for repairs.
Worth a try?

Thanks johnf3f - I followed the exploded diagram in the manual and stripped the head and serviced it. All good now!

I also found an article about servicing the heads etc. and it Wimberley state the same thing, strip, clean and lube.
