Happened to a colleague a couple of months ago. Latest Samsung Galaxy, 2 weeks into the 2 year contract and no insurance. :(
 
I still have to wonder what the hell one is doing holding a phone in close enough proximity to a loo to drop it in! !
 
I need to know why any sane woman would put a phone in her back pocket though! :eek:

That's how I ruined my phone a few years ago, good job it was just a cheapo pay and go phone.
 
Mine's often in my back pocket of my jeans. I hate having a handbag so when I go to the loo up the rugby club or pub, I generally have to take my phone with me.

I'm the same. If I'm going to an appointment and not parked up in front of the building at least 5 minutes before hand I start getting all twitchy. Same if I'm waiting for someone to come here. Punctuality is important.
 
How about the days when people asked, have you got the right time on you. People don't ask any more, everyone seems to have a phone on them now.

yep, that's me too, being on time is a failure, HAVE to be a little early. So, please explain to me why people like me, always end up with people like @Yves Geza for whom 'a time' is merely a rough guide! Drives me nuts!! :facepalm:

Thanks, Yv. Not that I NEED another watch but NEED and WANT are entirely different things!!! Other than Dad's watch (which is a bit valuable in sentimental terms to be an everyday wear), all my current timepieces are a little on the bulky side.

FWIW, I chanced to meet my old mate today who was the first person I ever saw wearing a Skagen and at whom I gawped and gushed "What's that? It's exactly what I want!"

Ours have tuned out to be reliable and accurate as well as quite elegant for around a hundred quid!
 
Managed to avoid watch GAS! Had a look at a few Skagens and have decided that while they are good looking and slimline, I am neither! The biggest problem I have with them is that I simply can't read the complications (even on the simpler ones I can't read the date easily!) Besides, I have enough watches so can't really justify yet another even if it is slim enough to hide easily!

Major problem has arisen though... Having bought a Fuji XF at the same time as I bought the XF car, I have just bought a Triumph Speedmaster bike. The problem is that I have discovered that Omega make a watch by the same name... Does anyone make a Skagen bike? Would be cheaper than the Omega watch!

Going out will wear my pocket watch.. Hand wound.. On Patio then us a Timex with back light when stargazing .. Other times its on the phone...
