Hi, I’m looking at getting the 6x7’ lastolite hi lite background. I know you can put lights in it.

I have 2 AD600s and an AD200

How would you use them?

I’m thinking 1 AD600 in the hilite, 1 AD600 as a key, and one AD200 as a fill?

Would you do it differently?

Mods:please move to lighting if you think it’s more appropriate.

Thanks.

I'd stick the 200 in the Hilite.

600 w/s is too powerful and will blow the background out I reckon, you don't need much in the Hilite from experience.

I have the same and can light it with 2 speedlights ok.

You'll need a pair of lights in the HiLite. I use a pair of Godox SK400IIs, but a pair of AD200s (or plain old speedlights) will do the trick too. (y)

I’ve got a 6x7 I don’t use. If you are interested I’ll pop it for sale in the classifieds.

I would also agree that two lights in the hilite is better than one - gives a more even spread of light. When I used a single light it gave me darker edges at the light side which needed more post processing - 2 lights eliminated it for the most of my shots.
