Wifi sharing off a Mac

I've got a dilemma and need your advice! I want to set up a hot spot from my MacBook from wifi - I'm not able to connect via Ethernet so that's not an option. Needs to share the wifi from the MacBook to be picked up my iPad, iohone iMac etc.

All machine son the latest Yosemite software

Is there any way or software of doing this? Apple care couldn't advise..
 
Thanks but that's not what I'm after - I want to share the wifi signal from my MacBook to my iMac - the old imacdoesnt have good wifi signal so won't pick up the wifi as well, whereas the new MacBook does, hence wanting to share it from that.
 
Not sure how to do it with a mac, but I did something similar using my PC as the wireless hub for the Xbox. I know that's no help but I know what you mean lol.
 
You are better off getting a wireless range extender
