I love the Tokina 12-24mm f/4 ATX which (considering that you need to purchase a lens hood for the Canon) is about 2/3 the price of the 10-22mm Canon here in the U.S.
I`ve seen a couple of pics from the Sigma 10-20mm that have been bad at the edges... oof etc.
Not my pics, just ones I`ve seen while reading about this lens. I`ve also talked to many more people who seem to think it`s a brilliant lens and I have to say, the pics I`ve seen from owners of this lens do look really good.
I quite fancy one too but am a bit undecided. Spoilt for choice I think...![]()
Bought my 450 last weekend and the lens didn't have a lens hood, which i thought was a prity bad show by canon IMO
I have a Sigma 17-70mm which I wouldn't class as a particularly wide angle but someone has suggested it above. I've never been that happy with it. It's quite soft and slow to focus but it was only about £250 so I suppose for the money you can't expect too much. I can't slag it off too much because I may advertise it for sale on here soon when I upgrade.
Sounds like you should have exchanged it i the beginning - doesnt sound the norm
You sure? It's a cheap lens so I'd say slow and soft would deffo be the norm.
I suppose it depends what you expect from a lens.
i've had a fair number of photos published using the Sigma 10-20mm
i think it's a great lens - i think you'll be pleased with it![]()
