Hi everyone Looking into Wide-angle zoom lenses, what lenses would you reccommend for Landscape Photography? Most of the time I take photos at woods (Ashridge Woods, Stockgrove Park etc) Any advice, much appreciated, thanks :)

Natasha

The two most popular wide angle lenses are the Canon 10-22mm and the Sigma 10-20mm.
Some people prefer not to use a super wide lens for landscapes but it's a matter of personal preference.
I've recently bought a Canon 10-22mm and I really can't fault it.

ive ordered a canon 10-22mm, i would get Sigma 10-20mm but Canon, i love it! =P

Tokina also do an 11-18mm IIRC. Another alternative is the 17-40 L, but on a cropped sensor, may be a little too narrow at 27-64mm

I'm also going to be in the market for a superwide angle zoom for my 450d very soon.

However i do plan to to upgrade to something like a 50d in a year or so.

Will the Sigma work with this? I've been told the canon won't

Both will work with the 50D.
I've recently bought a Canon 10-22mm and I plan on upgrading to a 50D later this year.
Both the Sigma and Canon super wide angle lenses were designed for cropped sensor DSLR's.
It's only the full frame DSLR's it wont work with.

Where did you order it from and how much?
With the recent price increases I'm just curious to know what deal you got.

Thanks for the comments everyone, much appreciated :)!!!! Probably gonna invest in the Sigma lens 10-20mm, has anyone used Warehouseexpress.com? :)
WHE have a good reputation but I have only ordered from them once.
I placed the order around 4pm on a Friday and it arrived the following Monday.

gonna ring up retailers this week to see what there prices are :)

You have no need with the internet at your disposal!
Don't bother with small independent shops, they'll be way too expensive.
