Wide angle lens

Hi all,

I have a canon 50d and 450d and am looking for a wide angle lens probably a sigma or tamron sort of level. Can anyone suggests which is best to get?

When I had a 40D I took a friends Sigma 10-20mm to NYC and it never came off, LOVED it!

I just sold my Sigma 10-20 and agree it was a magical lens. Just went full frame and had to change it for a Nikon 16-35 f4 though as it just would not work well full frame

Sigma 10-20 or Tamron 10-24 if you want something a bit cheaper.

If you can spend a bit more then both the Tokina 12-24 and 11-16 are sharper and faster than the Sigma and Tamron.

Also the Canon 10-22mm is excellent but again expensive compared to the first 2.

Spoiled with choice!!!

Tokina are better and sharper than Sigma or Tamron (first hand experience).

I recently purchased a Tokina 12-24 for my 1000d. It's been a revelation. Love it!

I have a Sigma 10-20mm (Nikon Fit) and because I have just upgraded to a D700 FF, I may be letting it go.
