Hi all, I'm looking to get a wide lens for my 7d. I've been looking at the two sigma options (10-20) and noticed the 4-5.6 is around £300, I can't afford much more than that to be honest.

Is there any other options?

tokina 11-16mm is prob one of the best wide angle lens youl get your hands on (mine was around the £300 marker new from hdew if memory serves...

oh just come across the Tamron 10-24mm, pretty good range and around the same prices?

Tokina sounds good, I will check that out thanks, small range though

Hmmmm so it seems I have 3 options:

Sigma 10-20mm
Tokina 11-16mm
Tamron 10-24mm

Confusion :/

I'v got the Siggy 10-20 4-5.6 and can't fault it. Nice and sharp and good contrast.
Picked mine up for £250 s/h.

Don't forget the Canon 10-22. My favourite lens.

The best one, but possibly out of his price range. Even used they are about £400 plus.

Another thumbs up for the Tokina. Cracking lens on the 7D

the canon is a little out of the price range at the moment.

I was originally thinking about the sigma as that seemed the cheapest, but I'm not so sure now. Rob's Tokina sounds like a good option?

I've been very happy with my Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM, which has been used on a 50D and now a 7D. If I was buying now I'd probably get their
12-24mm f/4.5-5.6 EX DG ASPHERICAL HSM, @ £50 more but can be used on 1.3 crop and FF bodies.

Another happy Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM owner here, great UWA lens.. even though you do look a bit strange taking a photo 2ft away from a person!
