I need help - in many ways - but specifically with the following problem

I am trying to extend my wi fi signal to the house next door - detached Gite about 30 metres away

I have two TL-WA7510N units - one connected to an orange Livebox and the other receiving the signal next door ....... both mounted externally as the walls in our house and the other are just too thick to transmit a signal

The main unit is connected to the Livebox by a long ethernet cable and power is supplied to the units down the ethernet cable

The power, (LAN on the under) and signal strength lights are on . on both units

The Devices next door connect to the signal but the devices will not connect to the internet ...... but they do very occasionally

Is the Livebox somehow blocking access to the internet from the computer/mobile phone/android devices that they have next door ..

Is there a limit on the number of devices that can be connected to the internet through a Livebox

The TL-WA7510N units worked OK last year ........ but does anyone have any experience of these or is there a simpler way to transmit the signal 30 or 40 meters - it has to be done from an external (sender) unit as the walls are too thick to transmit a wi fi signal

I hope that you understand what I have said - I have no idea really what I need to do to solve the problem

First thing I would check is simple ping tests. ie. can the devices receive the next door unit, then can they receive the unit closest to the livebox, then can they reach the livebox. Can you open the admin interface on the livebox. That way you can eliminate where the problem is.

yep done all that - open live box and TP in browser - check settings, played around

the strange thing is that I have no problem connecting to the internet with my MacBookPro ..... over in the other house, our Gite ....... but their non-apple devices say that they are connected to the wi-fi signal but when they open chrome or safari - it just will not load

my son reckons that the Livebox is crap and that I should buy this and not use the TP links as if I place it correctly it should have the range needed, but it is almost Euros 200

You really got to check it from their devices, as there is no reason why it should be incompatible. It is rubbish as most supplied routers, but I'd still have the extenders. If theirs isn't working, you got to check theirs.
