Yes
Are my prints crap in comparison to what they looked like on my laptop?

Print at Asda, and I wouldn't know how to calibrate my screen :-)

Have you tried getting them printed anywhere else ?

There you go then.

If you're concerned about print quality, then you need to calibrate your screen.

In this case, it may well be Asda's fault, not yours, but you'll never really know. Calibrate your screen and at least you know that what you are producing is correct, and if they still come back rubbish, you can be far more confident it's the lab's fault, not yours.

Asda and Quality are not two words I'd like to use in the same sentence when discussing printing :)

as in sharpness, colour accuracy, contrast?

most problems are user inflicted. Like it is already been said, without your screen being calibrated you are flogging a dead horse.

Never had a problem with ASDA prints before myself.

Well I suppose now you have the prints you could set up your screen with them, make them match, reprocess your pics and get them done again, it may work.

i went down to asda with some pics i wanted printed, looked fine on my laptop went to asda and it said the quality was poor so got them done by an internet printers and they came out fine. not sure whats up with asda's printers
