Do dog farts smell so bad............its only a Jack Russell for gawds sake:gag:

Indeed! And how can so much crap come from such a little arse? :D

Exactly...........why cant they use the bog like us ........ would save loads on poopy bags

Stop feeing them meat...
In fact, just stop feeding them...pretty soon they stop smelling...then they smell really bad for a bit, then you remember to bury them and the smell goes away again...seemples...

Unkind comments I fear as they do naught but what every human does more abundantly.

I have a Boxer and feed him on dry food (wag worker) and he doesnt smell.
But if we give him ant table scraps or dog meat then all hell breaks loose and he reeks.

She normally has some dry food in her bowl which she nitpicks at but her main meal is pedigree chum or a sunday dinner today

I'm sure I've posted this before

10 Years ago I had a Boxer dog called Max, daft as a brush

one day I came home and put a Fray bentos pie in the oven, when it was cooked I didn't fancy it, Max had been waving his nose about for 30 minutes, then he gave me the look, me me me can I have it so I thought yeah why not, he ate the whole thing in about 30 seconds.

I used to take him in the truck with me so next morning we set off for Glasgow at 5am.

We got as far as Preston when he let one go, **** me i'd never smelt anything like it, windows down to get the smell out.

then 10 minutes later another one , he farted every 10 minutes all the way to Glasgow and back, at one point I was even considering tying him to the back of the truck it was that bad.

I can honestly say I haven't eaten a fray bentos pie since that day, even walking past them in the supermarket makes me feel sick.

as said above feed then on dried food, we use bakers complete and molly doesn't have a wind problem

If we feed our Cairn pedigree chum he farts mustard gas. The smell is so bad you have to physically leave the room or risk vomiting. He's now on Butchers senior and very rarely farts. He also suffers with far fewer klingons.

Our jacks are wierd, they get Hills dried food, plus a smear of pedigree chum [chunks in gravy]each evening. They can go days with no farts at all, then have a day when one of them will just turn the air green...but never both on the same day, despite the fact they both get fed identical food each day....

I would keep a diay of which addition foods are creating the noxious gases in each of them, if only I could be that anally retentive....whilst continuing to wish they were anally retentive on some days

My theory is they do it just to annoy us and even more so if we have friends round but the sly buggers will come in the room, let one out very discreetly then sly out of the room leaving the finger of blame

Ever heard of "lurchers bum",my lurcher Morph has got worst ever:p.In fact his kinda used to vacate the room now,as if you go "pheeeew" he gets up and goes even if hes not the guilty party:exit:.
Poor Morph has got the blame for someone letting one slip and not coughing up to it before:gag:,not me of course:D

Are you certain it's one of the dogs causing the stench? More likely to be his lordship blaming the poor little creatures - like I do with the cat. Not sure how such a little cat makes such a loud noise, even when she's out of the room!

Oh yes.

Most of the time they are not even remotely windy but by hell when they let one go it will melt your face off. :gag:

You know you are in for a bad time when they wake up, sniff their own bum then get up and leave the room

All our dogs are fed raw meat.

We buy in bulk, frozen, at 20pence per lb (chicken/tripe mix).

You could try something a bit more bland like Butchers if it must be canned.

Or try to get some frozen meat like Bambers or preferably see if a local butcher does pet mince.

That could be a result if she will eat it all the time, never thought of this:thumbs:
