Why not paint adverts on the road to pay for fixing potholes?

What a good idea, give the good people of North Somerset something to distract them from the day-to-day scourge of motoring

First rule when motor racing in the wet it to keep away from the painted kerbs.

Great idea, would free up money gained from vehicle excise duty to be used on other causes, housing immigrants etc.

And it would reduce unemployment as people will be needed to paint the adverts onto the road surface.

yep... Nearly come a cropper a few times when cycling in painted cycle lanes (best use the road when wet).
