Why no proper D7000 reviews yet?

I've not really been anticipating a camera release before so I'm not sure how it works - but I would assume reviewers would get the cameras a while before they come out in order to review them. The D7000 is out in the US already but I've not seen any proper in depth reviews from the likes of dpreview etc yet.

I've not seen any proper reviews yet - all the ones a month or so ago were written by Nikon and just published as reviews on the day of the announcement.

There are some user reviews on amazon.com as its been out in the USA for a week - but a few problems if I remember right - hot pixels, only AF-S lenses working. Maybe this is why it now seems to have been delayed a month or so and is no longer available in even USA.

They haven't been delayed for a month. UK suppliers will be getting theirs tomorrow for delivery Friday. I know of shops that are expecting their's tomorrow
 
Thanks folks. I've read the Ken Rockwell thing but he hasn't actually used one yet has he?

That Robert Bromfield review doesn't sound overly impressive but I would like to see some more.

Remember that 75% of what Ken says is complete rubbish anyway!!
 
Still not a great deal out there - seems awfully quite considering the camera is already out in the US and especially compared to other cameras at launch.

yes "fair enough" seems to sum it up, expected rather more. The S5 pro still smokes it for dynamic range according to DP rev, 9.2 vs 11.8........

I wont be getting one......
