why is the 500d canon got t1i on it on ebay? i really wanted to order mine today as jessops compared to other stores are making me pay extra 50 quid when i can get it much cheaper online.

why are canon 500d's on ebay as rebel t1i ?

The US versions are known as 'Rebels'.
Contact user Kerso on this forum to see what price he can do the 500D for.
 
They are U.S imports. Probably best you hunt ebay for the real deal UK model, that way you get the warranty and whatnot without worrying about the warranty with 'the seller' & many on the bay are refurb'd too.

I'd buy from the shop, unless moneys too tight in which case look for a UK seller selling the UK model...
 
...can't imagine walking around with a camera having a 'Kiss' model sticker displayed prominently..

To be honest I think I'd pay the extra £30 (without postage charge) to walk into Jessops and have it today. At least that way I'd get to see it first before I hand over the money, plus you've got some comeback with Jessops.

Unless of course Kerso is much cheaper.
 
Europe - 500D
Japan - Kiss
America - Digital Rebel

Overseas models won't have European warranties, so if you need to send it back, there is a international postage charge to consider. Probably worth less than a 500D as well if you sold it.
 
I got the T1i and kit lens from Kerso for £500 with warranty and UK invoice :thumbs:

At least you'd know a new one from Jessops would have been used marginally less than a second hand one from eBay :p

:agree: plus, you maybe able to get Jessops to price match (even to posted price of £510 is worth it) :thumbs:
