Why is Daily Mail BAD?

I'm amazed at how people who whinge and moan about the Daily Mail/Daily Anything/Anything Else make out they would never go near a copy and yet profess to be intimately familiar with the content. On what grounds do they whinge if they never see?

Professional whingers, eh?

In the East it's called propaganda, the west call it news! At least their honest?

Erm ... I studied media, and then worked in press offices, where it was my job to analyse the news in all forms - paper, televisual and web.

I think a good example has been recently highlighted.
In England, the Government agree with the cervical cancer jab , so the Daily Mail is up in arms about it, highlighting scare stories.
However, in Iireland, their government havent agreed to it, so the Daily Mail are up in arms about it, and they are running a petition to get it introduced.

But hey, we're only talking about something that may save peoples lives, they dont seem to care - being against the government seems to sell papers.

HAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA

None. Guardian to the left, Times to the right, Indy to the left, Telegraph to the right. But these papers at least make an attempt to get their facts right, and report a summary of what is happening in GB and the rest of the world.

Despite its ownership The Times is still the least biased of the quality press.

The Daily Mail

"Give us, this day, our Daily In-bred,
Beliefs cannot live without being fed.
Others don’t matter, just pawns in our game,
We can’t feel perfect with no-one to blame.

Heroes aren’t heroes unless under threat,
Life without fear is decidedly wet.
If no-one objects, we’ll never be free,
To enjoy our middle-class poverty.

Concern for the poor? Please give it a rest!
It’s people like us being put to the test!
There’s nothing but whining from despicable slobs,
Who ought to be grateful we give them McJobs!

There’s talk of new taxes on “over-sized” cars,
This eco-hippy nonsense is going too far!
Communist fools, the whole country over,
Should try the school-run without a Land Rover!

And people accuse us of un-Christian views,
Just because we hate darkies, Pakis and Jews!
They may not much bother the PC brigade,
But it’s the biggest mistake that’s ever been made!

They’ll be the first ones making a scene,
When a Muslim sets foot on our fair village green!
His twenty-nine children all covered in scabies,
If one should bite you - you’re sure to get rabies!

And Oh! My God! Just look at the youth!
Apart from my own kids, they’re all so uncouth!
A whole bloody decade of Labour in power,
Has served to produce a right little shower!

It’s not like it was when Maggie held sway,
Oh! For Our Highness to be here today!
The poor knew their place and the homos kept quiet,
The jobless vermin had to live on a diet!

Now it’s Human Rights this and Human Rights that,
When they should bring back the birch, bring back the cat!
A eugenics program would be a good start,
Because we’re going to Hell in a Polish hand-cart!

Our lives are not what they should have been,
An everyday episode of Camberwick Green.
As we Little Englanders try hard and fail,
We give thanks to the Lord for our Daily Mail!"

Says it all :)

I read The Grauniad and The Times - the truth lies somewhere in-between.
